Tulong Kabataan Volunteer Network continues its series of relief operations with a feeding program at Pinagbuhatan High School, Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City at 3PM today.

The feeding program, a part in a series of relief operations organized by the group, has been going on since August 6.

“Addressing hunger is really one of the fastest ways that we can bring relief to our kababayans,” says Tulong Kabataan national coordinator Vencer Crisostomo. “In fact, the feeding program was one of the earliest operations we planned for, knowing that food will not only answer hunger but will also uplift spirits,” adds Crisostomo.

“We would like to thank everyone who quickly responded to the call for donations and resources for the feeding program, especially Chef Ed and Pino Restaurant. Their initiative and willingness to help is really what keeps the grassroots nature of TK alive and strong and what further emphasizes the power of collective action in times of need.”

“There are more relief operations scheduled in the coming days so we hope more and more people can come to TK operations since we’re looking at long-term rehabilitation and involvement in communities,” ends Crisostomo.  ###
