Congress not “family reunion” – youth solon
Mikey, Arroyos making a mockery out of partylist system
Kabataan Partylist Representative Raymond ‘Mong’ Palatino today slammed the reported party-list bid of presidential son Cong. Juan Miguel ‘Mikey’ Arroyo,’ saying that it is a mockery of the partylist system.
“There are already four Arroyos in the House today, and now they seem to be aiming for more.
“He does not belong to any marginalized sector. Mikey and all other Arroyos in Congress are landlords and compradors.”
The youth solon reiterated the need to educate the public on the party-list system, including “advising them to be critical in choosing the party-list that would truly represent the marginalized”.
Palatino said, “We also have bogus party-lists and administration-backed party-lists included in the ballot. They cannot deny these now, Mikey himself has reinforced it by announcing his party-list bid.”
If Mikey is allowed to pursue his intention, Palatino said, “His participation cannot be hailed as democratic, his mandate is questionable because he would clearly be detached from the sector he would claim to represent. Same goes for the other Arroyos who are seeking congressional posts.”
Palatino said that he would support any disqualification case to be filed against Mikey Arroyo if he pursues his party-list bid. ###

Well, good news for me, thanks!
