“It is now becoming more and more evident that the Liberal Party is …

Secretary-General, KABATAAN Partylist
This is in reaction to a statement by Akbayan Rep. Risa Hontiveros released last April19, 2010, titled, “Transactional politics, links with nondemocratic Left hurting Villar.”
It is now becoming more and more evident that the Liberal Party is threatened by the Left’s raising of legitimate issues such as genuine land reform, economic reforms and human rights, thus exposing its standard-bearer Sen. Noynoy Aquino’s lack of stance on them, and is now resorting to desperate, baseless and malicious red-tagging.
Linking Makabayan senatorial bets Satur Ocampo and Liza Maza to …

Many of us have joined the millions of Filipinos who have left their families and their homeland to …

Kabataan Partylist Rep. Raymond “Mong” Palatino deplored the Supreme Court’s decision rejecting with finality the appeal to reverse the ruling allowing Pres. Gloria Arroyo to appoint the next chief justice.
Palatino reiterated his stand that the appointment of the next chief justice should be done by the next president “so as not to taint his or her independence and non-partisanship.”
“We fear that this would serve to perpetuate a GMA-forever scenario. The appointment of a midnight chief justice despite its possible political implications is the last nail to seal the coffin that …
